Fun in the Sun at Sunbury Walled Gardens

Another fantastic time playing at Walled Garden, Sunbury yesterday. The band had a super time and the audience really enjoyed, very well done to all the soloists!
It may have got a bit cooler and windier, but Staines Lammas Band were hot on Sunday at Sunbury Walled Gardens!
I think it's the busiest we've seen it there since COVID and the band played so well. Our MD Tariq not only pushed the band musically, but was brilliant with the audience; we had so many lovely comments after.
The program was defiantly challenging with horn features, a very generous sprinkling of solos and something for every member to get stuck into! The back row especially liked the percussion solo in Bare Necessities, which was expertly performed by our Ebb Bass soloist Kate Barrett.
Llewellyn Wells also did a great Job in his solo Flowerdale on soprano cornet, as did our horn section Emma Elliot-Smith, Amy Wells and Jessica Walukiewicz playing Trio Con Brio!
We still have a concerts coming up this summer from both bands with the next outing with Staines Brass playing on our home turf of Lammas Recreation Ground on 30th July.
